The artists take a critical look at the society of their home countries. Topics, such as environmental degradation, AIDS and religious tensions within society are dealt with. The short films were made in 2018 in cooperation with the Goethe Institute Pakistan in Karachi and Lahore. The critical examination of the filmmaker's home country could only arise in the protected  framework of the Goethe Institute's workshop. The films can only be shown outside of Pakistan and Afghanistan because the filmmakers are exposed to reprisals in their home countries. There are no screening or funding opportunities for the `short films` format wethter in Pakistan nor in Afghanistan.
