Szenische Fotografie 

Für die szenischen Fotografien wurden junge Erwachsene angesprochen. Sie nutzten das Thema Skat zur Selbstdarstellung.

Die Fotografin verwendet einen neutralen grünen oder weißen Hintergrund. Umgebungsfaktoren bleiben dadurch offen, Einrichtungsgegenstände fehlen komplett ­ dokumentarisch sind die Fotografien dennoch nicht. Das (Schau­)Spiel derJugendlichen ist im Vordergrund. Durch das Fehlen der Verortung liegt die Aufmerksamkeit bei den Menschen mit ihrer Geschichte. Dargestellt wird eine Generation von jungen Erwachsenen im Alter zwischen 18 und 22 Jahren. Die Abgebildeten zeigen offensichtlich ein szenisches Spiel, dessen Inhalt den Betrachtenden aber verborgen bleibt, lediglich das Kartenspiel ist eine Konstante. Der Zusammenhang von Situation und Kartenspiel bleibt unaufgelöst Das Spannungsfeld zwischen dem eher alten, „verstaubten“ Spiel der Großväter und Mütter und der Enkelgeneration drängt sich als Thema auf. Die Betrachtenden sind irritiert und bleiben verunsichert mit der Einordnung der Fotografien allein zurück.

Scenic photography

Young adults were approached to enact the photographic scenes. They used the theme of scat-playing as a a way of presenting themselves. The photographer uses a neutral green or white background. Surrounding factors thus remain open, furnishings are completely absent, yet the photos are not documentary.

The focus is on the play(-acting) of young adults. Through the absence of location, the attention rests on the persons and their individual histories. The photos portray a generation of young adults between the ages of 18 and 22.

The people depicted obviously present a scenic play, the content of which is hidden from the viewer. Only the card game is a constant. The connection between the setting and the card game remains unresolved. The tension between the rather antiquated, "dusty" game of grandfathers and mothers and the grandchildren's generation comes into play. This irritation leaves the viewers unsure about the correct classification of these photographs.
